Hard to tell in that shot, but it slightly resembles a Blackburn "Blackburn".

I'f guess its a Bristol 118/120, but they would have had radial engines....

The "K" on the tail isn't much help, either...

How about a hint - is it from one of the "normal" manufacturers, or a specialty builder?

(That tail looks awfully Hawker or Boulton-Paulish)

They are a normal well known manufacturer. It is also a fighter.

It is very PZL. ish or Czechish, the cranked upper wings seem to imply continental influence....

Nobody's mentioned it but this is an unusual design. The engine is mounted behind the pilot, driving the prop via an extension shaft - similar to the Bell Airacobra. The pilot sits in front of the engine & the upper wing leading edge which would give much better visibility compared with conventional biplanes.
