You're allowed to fly into the clouds over there? Here in the US, we're required to stay away unless flying under an IFR flightplan

That's a bit I was looking forward to....
...!We established first that the clouds were not dangerous thunderstorm types, (there was a high pressure ridge in the area).
I was able to put into practise my knowledge of years of flying my sim trainer, (Cessna 150/152), to be confident in flying entirely on instruments and radios....no problem...
...!All the information is presented in front of you on the instrument panel...airspeed, tachometer, altitude, rate of climb/descent, horizontal situation indicator, compass, heading indicators, etc...no problemo...
...!Although you can't see a thing outside, all the instruments tell you exactly what is going on to keep you flying safely...
...!My instructor sussed I knew what I was doing as I constantly relayed to him exactly what I was observing on the panel in front of me and what I was doing to correct any errors..
...!(Remember the instructor is always at my side ready to take over if I got into difficulties...)...
...!To all the prospective commercial fliers, military flyers, etc, a few, (many), hours spent training in a little flight simulated Cessna will pay big rewards when it comes to to flying in the REAL THING....
