From my point of view, I wouldn't mind if a few are set up in "Aggressor" squadrons.

Let's not forget that these wouldn't be the first '29s in Western hands.  Until recently, Germany had them as front line aircraft.

A lot of the former Eastern Bloc countries are still using them (I'm still trying desperately to blag a ride in one!)
Hungary is about to change over to the new Saab though :(
Personally I think the 29 is gorgeous, and one hell of a fine fighter. I think some jocks are going to get a nasty shock when they go up against the real thing ;D

the won't be the first Migs in US colours, but I'm sure Mr Guruvitch (sp) didn't see this coming 20 years ago  ::)

Those are from Moldova, and by far not as hot (read: modern) as the ones the Luftwaffe has....
Export versions are even worse.

Next holiday trip destination for the USAF would probably be Brasil (Su-35) or Indonesia (Su-30).

Crazy Craing, Mr Gurevich is no longer with us... The MiG-29 was done under supervision of mr Waldenberg (sounds very german for a russian national)

I would think that we(USA) would upgrade the avionics systems to our stuff wihch is about the best out there. ;)

Of course that is if we used them for anything, and an aggressor squad would be awesome. ;D

If you want nice displays and other gadgets in your MiG, call Paris (Thomson/CSF) and Jerusalem (Elbit).

Sukhoi tends to be a lot easier in the electronics department
