Sorry Buddy BUT they will never do away with PILOTS in the cockpit.

What they might do is have one PILOT AND ONE DOG in the cockpit.

The PILOTS job will be to feed the DOG.

The DOGS job will be to BITE THE PILOT if he/she touches anything.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug :)

My personal thoughts are as such:
I have heard this is being looked into for the future. This scares me as there will be an increase in the number of planes flying over the next 10 to 20 years. no matter how advanced technology gets there is always a chance that something will go wrong with it. Without someone in the cockpit to either try and solve this problem or take manual control of the plane, alot of people will die. The more planes flying the more chance of an error or an accident. The great thing about human involvement is the instinct of life. Unlike a computer which doesnt feel for its own safety. a human being will generally do whatever they can to save their own life and even moreso when others are also trouble, going to lengths beyond what a manual may advise or a computer may think of doing.

It will never happen.

There could be computer problems, just about any computer system can be hacked if the effort is put in by the right minds, specifically terrorists,.....    being a pilot is a job that contributes to the economy,

nothing would be scarrier than a plane guided by Microsoft Windows 95 (to save cost of buying Windows XP) = P

most of all, who would the ladies have to chase after if theres no pilots? ???
