I don't have a price sheet yet, as there is nothing on their site, and the email request doesn't get you a budget sheet either. I'm browsing while the first layer of paint sets on my new Seafire model.....

Looks nice, but I don't think I'd fit....

I'm wondering if it is a "production" version the 4/5ths scale replica that was in "Pilot" (or similar) magazine 4 or 5 years ago in Canada. Think the enginge was a Ford V6...  :)

Charlie that was the prototype of this very model
It got scratched-up a bit in a gear-up landing, and whilst being rebuilt got re-engined too.
Looks lovely. Amazing levels of detail.

the fact they dont give prices means if you have to ask you cant afford type thing:) I am looking soon to set out a long term business plan to buy a DC10 when i get a decent job, ie:flying for a living. However even leasing it out as an executive jet for long haul the costs would be rather large:) And since a spitfire would be so much more fun and cheaper, i wouldnt mind looking into one as an alternative.

Mind you in the US there are two new Spits being built. Exact copies of a Mk V and a Mk XIV, complete with Merlin and Griffon engines respectively. I've only seen one photo thusfar of these projects though, but they look good, and near completion
As for me I'll be happy with my MJ100 full sized wooden jobbie with a grands worth of horses up front

Well Roger it took me a year of grovelling, begging, dropping hints, kissing bottom, doing ALL the housework, and a small fortune in gifts to finally get my way But it was worth it

I think there's a Tr. IX too being built from scratch. I think it was started by Dick Melton when here was restoring the late Charles Church's Tr IX...

Personally I'm a Yak-3 man. Realistically my budget (future Mrs Charlie permitting) will only be stretching to a Yak 52 in the next few years ( or maybe a 50 - then I shalln't have to worry about future Mrs Charlie nattering in the back, unless I teach her to navigate - oh no, she's a girl oops)
