TED

United has released the livery of  its new Low Cost Carrier: TED  (from UNITED)

See it here ==>http://www.flyted.com/

I think it beats the heck out of Delta's 'Song' and Is new and original.  Granted, it's an odd airline name, but I'm giving it a chance.  It'll be based thier central Major Hub, Denver International. I like that UAL isn't trying to completely separate itself from this brand, like Delta With Song.  Gotta wonder, Why not make actual United better...?

What do you think? Will it do well or end up dilapidaTED?  What about the livery?

I look forward to one for FS...

I think it beats the heck out of Delta's 'Song' and Is new and original.

Major carrier faces financial problems, forms a low cost subsidiary modelled on Southwest, and skirts around established union wages ... Song, Jazz, Metrojet,...etc
Remember the joke about Fedex and UPS merging and forming a new company called FedUp? A friend of mine is a Captain at United. Before they came up with the name for the new offshoot, there was a running joke at United that they were gonna compete directly with Delta's Song, and subsequently name there's Dance!  :D
.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

I still think a teddy bear like my little Pooh in the other thread would be better.

Their Go low-cost division didn't seem to harm BA. In fact I think they made a hefty profit when they sold it.

maybe so, but GO was introduced at a time when low cost carriers were a very small minority, plus BA wernt in chapter 11. The united states has to many low cost carriers already, add ted and the fact united is still posting losses(although they are down from when they filled for protection)
I really do hope it succeds, like i said want a chance to fly united they have the coolest fleet in the air, in my opinion. However they allowed the pilots and works way to much leeway before the downturn, they have first officers earning over $150,000 a year and captains well over 250K. They are now all refusing pay cuts to keep the airline safe, despite even after cuts they would be earning more than most pilots of the same seniority. sadly they have put themselves into this position. And piss poor management has made it worse
