More fiddling about ::)

The driver may only activate the adjustable bodywork in the race when he has been notified via the control electronics that it is enabled. It will only be enabled if the driver is less than one second behind another at any of the pre-determined positions around each circuit. The system will be disabled the first time the driver uses the brakes after the system has been activated.

So how will it be determined that a car is a second behind. Track timing only at set points around the track. You would have to have timing points every few meters, either that or a radar type device in the nose. Ultra sound would not be powerful enough and GPS is too slow. Another thrown in the air regulation that the teams then have to work out :-? Also this is hardly making F1 cheaper ::)

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

They should just go back to this.

Now, let's race.  ::)

Is it their intention to make sure that no one ever catches the front runners?  :-?
