End of the line for Saab

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/dec/18/gm-shuts-saab

I didn't realise it was part of GM.

This was in the news a couple of weeks ago I think. Just before Christmas I believe, a nice present for the work force >:(

However, it would appear that the Poisoned Dwarf is now looking to buy Saab. Bernie to buy Saab

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Does this mean that a nice little cushion for short ar$ed drivers to sit on will come as standard on all new Saabs?

Indeed. IIRC the more recent cars (certainly the 900/9-3) have been based on the previous generation's Vauxhall Vectra chassis and running gear.

As for Bernie, an interesting development seeing as one of his partners in the bid is the new owner of Renault's F1 concern. Saab F1 anybody? ;D

They are 'trying' to sell it to anyone who can show them the cash... but in reality they are messing around and pissing off anyone who makes an attempt to buy Saab...
