Mercedes buy Brawn

Insider knowledge, maybe Jenson was just holding out until the big money arrived :-? on another note, does this make "Brawn" a one season wonder now that the name will probably only appear on the inside of the under tray ;D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Anyone else thinking this may turn into a Mercedes version of the Brawn/Ferrari dynasty?

Quite an exciting development. Brawn will at least be on a secure foot financially. With Ross B still at the helm I'd not write them off whatever their name ;)

"Mercedes will compete in the F1 world championship next year starting with its own factory team,"

Start with its own team...

...you mean starting with the team you've just bought out!

Mind you, at least they've got more chance the Sauber did after the BMW buy out! I wonder how things will go if McLaren prove strong over a season or two?

Mind you, Merc do have a hstory of buying out successful operations and rebranding them.

They will have a problem.
His name is Norbert.
Ross Brawn is supposed to be team principle but then you still have old norby up top watching over him. Lets see how long those two co-exsist..
