Licences, I would have thought that they would have been on grandfather rights ;D ;D

An interesting race. Not so much for the action but for the pace of the cars. Brawn clearly no longer have the speed advantage they had before.  Red Bull and in specific Vettel are now in terms of race pace, virtually equal and had he not been held up would have won the race. Mclaren and toyota are moving forward fast, and even Ferrari have moved closer. Brawn dont seem to have moved at all. Which leads me to believe their budget has run out for developments or is running very low, and explains why there have been so many sponsor selling points on the shows lately. Maybe Branson will buy us a long term thing, maybe someone will come in with a bigger offer, so on and so on. But if they dont find some money soon that dream start will quickly develop into a mid-field fight for points. Mclaren, Red Bull and Ferrari have all promised new cars between spain and Monaco. Without the inseason testing it could be hit and miss with the new cars but if they are quick out the box then maybe the seasons not quite done yet.

Thing is todays race is the sort of thing you'll get all the time from a guy like ross brawn. You dont need to lead from the start he'll get you up front if the car is capable. Worked for ferrari for years, its working for Jenson now. I've said it all along there is no better tactician in motorsport.
Qualifying to me showed Brawn aren't hiding anything. Right now they are no longer years ahead. They've been caught up. If they have got something back in the factory to help it'll be on in spain simple as. Vettel being heavier and faster in quali will have woken them up in a big way.
