So the next FAI investigation/appeal looms...........Someone has stopped the race clock.
Rule 41.1 the race clock will not stop even if the race does :-?
So how much longer will the race run?? (they are prepping to start under the SC) and the next thing, stopped due to lack of daylight a few laps into the restart. Shame, all in all, it was a good race up to this point.

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

1/2 points is a bullpoo rule as the higher you finish, the more you get penalised.

Under the 1/2 points rule each place loses:
1st: lost 5
2nd: lost 4
3rd: lost 3
4th: lost 2.5
5th: lost 2
6th: lost 1.5
7th: lost 1
8th: lost 1/2

How can it be fair that the friggin' winner loses 5 points, but 8th place only loses 1/2 a point.

Full points.

I'll have the table up later, but only from Australia... I think it's better to update the table for the previous GP when the current one has finished...

Certainly an interesting race, to say the least! Good to see Button's doing well in the championship as well after the less-than-decent car he's had underneath him, as goes with all the other smaller teams. :)

1/2 points is a bullpoo rule

Well I dunno what you think Martyn, but I'd say the entirety of what the FiA has to say nowadays is bullpoo.... ;D

1/2 points has been around for ages so no point complaining.
I'm in two minds as to whether it really was such a good race. I know I spent the whole time waiting for the rain whilst knowing that we'd get 3 laps at most worth of racing and the result would be decided in those 3 laps as to who would stay on. Glock and toyota need to get all the credit, they were the only ones who bothered to look out the window and see that inters were the only choice, too many teams went with a knee jerk reaction to the extreme wets (And some apparently thought it was worth seeing how much bigger of a cock up you can make, ferrari) It was great to see the vapour trails off the rear wings again, something that has been missing for a long time.
Funny moment of the day for me has to go to Ferrari's top man during an interview, "yeah Kimi is getting ready to go again, we need to do a little work but he's ready and waiting to go" Just as tv pictures show him dressed in shorts and t-shirt eating an ice cream and grabbing a coke from the fridge. ;D I honestly dont think Ferrari have a clue right now whats going on from moment to moment. ::)

Someone can try to one-up lewis and massa's championship winning margin by winning by .5 points.   ;D

Brawn GP test checklist:

Wet testing: Complete. Date 5th April 2009. ;D

Only watched the race today, having avoided hearing the result overnight. Mrs C mentioned that it had rained, and even without wet testing, with RB's track record with the German at Ferrari, one couldn't be surprised at yesterday's result.

Ferrari have also used the Malaysia race for testing of their ice cream coolers ;D

Not just that, looks like Kimi was sat on a potential cattle prod:

What annoys me is how the ferrari guys still try and sell KERS as an equaliser towards the diffusers. It simply isn't. You need downforce through and out of the corners to have a chance of overtaking. I only hope they have the very least a basic early new diffuser ready to go for china if the FIA confirm them as legal.
Of course if they declare them against the rules I things will shift towards a ferrari/ red bull battle.
