Yes... someone has realised that 70 points is more than 69 points no matter how you got those points.

Mind you, if they'd employed the new system retrospectively, they would have had my support, as Stirling Moss would become a World Champ, and our Nige a triple world champion.  :)

And I might be wrong but Michael would be 8 time champion (I believe he had better finishing positions over all tied with alonso for wins) And Kimi in 2005 would have been champion from a quick look but again I need to double check when I have time, but if I'm right (prob not ::) :D) You'd have Kimi with 2 titles Alonso with none and nothing for lewis if your idea was employed charlie sir. I'm all for it. ;D ;D :) :)

EDIT: I've checked again and I was wrong  :o Alonso had more seconds in 06 and 05. Michael had more higher finishing positions in 06 (but less 2'nds) but his retirements were the factor, same went for Kimi in 05. ::)
