Last nights top gear

Postby Craig. » Mon Dec 29, 2008 6:44 pm

Am I the only one after watching last nights episode tempted to get on a plane and head to Vietnam and rent a bike? Or in my case car, I dont do bikes lol.
I thought that was one of the best all round specials they've done. The way they managed to mix in their usual humor with the realisation they all seem to have about the place as well made it brilliant to watch.

It is a shame that Mrs Ozzy came too a little late. Could be the last of the "big trips" Cutbacks Nothing like throttling a world wide show that must bring in Millions. Heaven forbid that East Enders should be cut by 5 minutes a show or some cultural diversity program on BBC4 is cut >:(

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

He joked that Mr Clarkson had come up with a plan: "Instead of trimming back a little bit on every show - losing a helicopter here or a truck crash there - we'll endeavour to make 13 out of 14 shows as per the usual [Hollywood producer] Jerry Bruckheimer standard, and then the last one, when we only have a tenner left, will be utter, utter *****.

They did that a few years back, must admit that last show was quite good, some proper road tests and hitting the audience up for money.  ;D Selling off bits of the set.

The Vietnam show was supposed to come on BBC America last night too (thats what was posted on the TG America site), but instead it was a re-run from two seasons ago... :-[
