"Le Mans"/Sports car racing has always been far more beneficial to motoring than the formula types, certainly in the early 90s. Now with Audi and Peugeot doing so well with diesels, people are less afraid to try new technologies without be scared of being completely uncompetitive. What would be nice is if we could have another two or three big manufacturers develop LMP1/competitive LMP2 (as Porsche have) to make it a bit more of a competition, rather than just an Audi/Peugeot shootout (thinking back to the group C days, with Jaguar, Mercedes. many Porsches, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda etc)
a certain member here has an unhealthy obsession with classic le mans jags. As you can see by the looks he's getting from a member of staff at ASI this past jan.
