Anyone got any ideas?

Postby Jared » Sun Oct 07, 2007 7:12 pm

Hi all, I've already posted in a forum for my specific car, but I figured I would post over here real quick too in case someone might have a good idea :)

after I get my tailight fixed in the next few days I will be in need of
some headlight hardware as a few months ago when I went to put new
bulbs all the way around most of the springs, and hold-down nuts/bolts
were either rusted in place or broke upon removal. (springs mostly
disintegrated in my hand from).

I have found the adjusting nuts, and springs can be bought from Mac's
antique auto parts online. However I didn't see the adjusting bolts
there.

Can anyone else suggest a good source for the components?

I need:
1.) Adjusting springs for headlight buckets, and headlight retaining
rings

2.) Adjusting nuts and bolts for all 4 headlights.

THanks for taking the time to read this,

Jared

I've made the bolts from stock hardware. Just aquire a bolt of the required size and thread pitch. Cut to length, round the head, and taper the end.
Otherwise, are there any auto salvage yards in the area? Most of the stuff you need is probably a standard size and fitting many makes & models.
Also, you may just do yourself well in the long run to buy the complete bucket assembly.
