F1 GP France: Your predicitions

Postby MWISimmer » Tue Jun 26, 2007 1:03 pm

It's the last French GP to be held at Magny Cours and I'm not too unhappy about it, always seems to be a bit boring (except for the year DC gave Michael Schumacher the finger whilst overtaking him  ;D ) .
I think Ferrari will be more of a threat to McLaren this time out.

1:  Massa
2: Alonso
3: Hamilton

On the long run Ferrari are over half a second faster than Mclaren, and they say they have yet to really push. I hope Mclaren have perhaps just missed the setup a little or else the race could be as bad as monaco.

Anyone surprised by Scott Speed being 3rd quickest in practice?
Although he does have a Ferrari engine...

well the ferrari engine is the highest powered on the grid along with the BMW engine, and we keep hearing how the adrian newey designed cars are supposed to be great, so I guess it was only a matter of time. Unfortunatly for STR, as Red bull are finding out and as Mclaren used to find out, Neweys cars are very, very fragile.

I see one of the drivers has given up hope, and started a comedy club...

I'm pretty sure Coulthard is simply jealous of Hamilton - when he heard that McLaren had announced Hamilton as their #2 driver, he said it was a mistake. Why? I think Coulthard believes it should have been him. However he does have a point about the car - F1 does have a huge variety of cars, those that are good and those not so good.
