I wasn't joking when I said 6 inches.... seriously, we could have seen the most horrifying incident EVER in Formula 1.
Fair play to DC though, he admitted it was his fault and went straight to Wurz after the race and apologised.

What happened? It looks like DC got sideways from the pictures, but why? Did Wurz tap him or something?

DC went for a rather optimistic pass but going too fast for the corner he carried straight on as Wurz gave him room for what he thought was a pass up the inside. Unfortunatly with DC going straight on because of the speed the back wheel of dc hit Wurz's back wheel and sent him over the top of wurz's car.
