Diesel in the US... better get a UAZ to run on that.
US diesel is too bad quality for the pampered direct injection diesels from europe

For the euro crowd: Toyota Echo = Toyota Yaris Sedan version (common in Turkey?)
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Fill up on $10? I think not, unless it's a scooter. Gas is around $3/gallon. More likely around $30-$50 per fill-up these days.

That's quite good. In the U.S. a comparible size rig would be more like 6-7mpg, and we're limited to 40 tons by law.

In Europe we are paying about $6 to $7 a gallon. Also I drive a diesel, and in the UK that is more expensive than petrol. Fortunately the Germans have not copied that....yet. When we have a moment we will feel sorry for you ;D

dunno if you can get it at all over there but any vehicle running on LPG apparently does a higher mpg and the fuel is about half the price too

With LPG you get slightly lower MPG, but the cost of the fuel off sets this by a large margin, well this is what two friends with LPG modified cars tell me.

You can fill a 3-gallon tank in the US for $10... haven't you heard? the national average is now $3/gal. (for regular).

I am living in the country that lost, and as I said we are paying $6 to $7 a gallon, so don't feel that bad ;D
