Rumour has it that McLaren really wasnt happy with him telling his 07 plans to the world so soon. And since hes gonna be driving a Dodge in NASCAR, dodge, who are owned by Daimler-Chrysler, who own Mercedes, who provide engines for McLaren - it was thought in everyones best interests if Montoya and McLaren left on 'good' terms.

I think he was fired, - I dont imagin him crashing into Kimi on the 2nd corner at Indy did him any favours within the team either!

Montoya has been quoted as saying F1 is boring, and despite me being an enormous F1 fan, I can see where he is coming from. They do so much testing compared with actual racing these days that once the initial thrill of actually driving an F1 car is over... whats left?
