Toyota Strong

Looks like Trulli has p2 for friday practice.  If Mclaren screws up again, they might just have their first win.

If by some mirical Toyota get on the front row of the grid, we will see 20 laps of toyotas holding up 18 other cars as has happened every other time the Toyota has done well in practise and qualifying. Its a very strong car in qualifying especially compaired to last year. But for whatever reason they just dont seem to have the pace for the race.
Assuming the Mclarens dont have problems it'll be pretty much a 1 horse race. However it could be interesting behind them. Rubens showed some pace in the Ferrari and the BAR of Button is looking good again.  More importantly. The Renaults are looking slow.

well Toyota showed good pace today. Kimis lap was amazing. And i dont know what hole Schumi pulled his lap from but hopefully it carries into the race.

It was just 2 days ago that he said that Ferrari would have a tough race.

I think they will.  in the end Qualifying is all well and good for getting your face on sunday mornings front page of the sports section. But its no good if your car cant produce on the sunday. I worry that the tyres round Hungary will fade faster than Germany.

Hopefully he wont. But i see this race being a wake up call to the guys in charge that they need to change the rules on downforce and aero packages. These new ones are making overtaking impossible. Only so many more races of tailbacks before they do something.

I think Ferrari have this one.  I just watched qualifying, and I'm not sure if anyone will be able to get by him.

The only part of the lap which leads me to believe the ferrari is strong is the Middle section. The rest of the track he was only .200 roughly faster than anyone else, but he was over half a second faster in the middle. So either his experiance showed round the track at that point. Or something just clicked. Because even if he is not carrying as much fuel as others, the 1st and 3rd sectors would suggest its only a lap or two less.  ??? gonna be a very good race i think.
