to save time and patience i wont go on a long rant but just keep it short. Ferrari have the car with the most potential, it isn't the best car out there, if they fix the problems it could be the best. The best car right now is the Mclaren too bad they have two average drivers. Ferrari have never had "the best" car not even last year, what they had was a car which was consistant it was reliable and they have two good drivers, and the best tactician in F1 in Ross Brawn. Other teams have faster cars and always will, this year reliability is very good for those teams and its that which is costing the ferraris, a problem they haven't dealt with in years. Schumacher wont retire this year if he looses, his ego wouldn't allow it.

no, he won't retire this year.  His contract ends in '06.  So Ferrari better get it together.  MS said last year that he like racing for the win, and if he wasn't racing for the win, he would leave F-1.  If Ferrari has never had the best car, how do you explain their dominance (psst, its not all Michael, sorry to inform you).  They have had the best car, and they have been consistantly reliable <-key to winning is to have it all.

Ferrari have had their ups and downs.  They will come back, but not as many say they will.

It seems the car is not as stable.  Rubens mentioned something about weight distribution.  Knowing the sensitivity of these cars, the problem is most likely some extra ego that the drivers are carrying with them in the car that is throwing the balence off.

Not saying its all Michael, however his past speaks for itself, champion in a very average car many years ago, took Ferrari from nothing to where they are now. Mansell did it for williams Senna did it for Mclaren Schumacher Ferrari and now it could be Alonso for Renault. Time will tell.
