Pocono is great.

Yeah, it is... You ever been? My uncle drives for the SCCA... They race all over the northeast and one time he came and raced at Pocono. I belive he raced against the guy on the "Newman's Own" salad dressing bottles... ;D Man, it was a fun day. He got us pit passes, garage passes and tickits to qualifying and Happy Hour for both the Busch and (former) Winston Cup... If ya want, Dave, I'm sure he could hook ya up with some passes... :D ;)

uh, oh. I think this should be in the autos forum.
If you make the F-1 guys go to Autos, then why let this one stay?

I go to Watkin's Glen every year for the Cup race.  Always ends up being awesome because we sit in the first turn, which is after the largest straightaway, and where almost all the passing and crashing happens.  And, there is a sandpit right there so when a car goes off, it sits there for quite a while.   :)

I realy can't beleive how much some of the drivers dislike the road courses, basically because they can't drive road course for their lives!  :P I don't know, but if you were really that great of a driver, it wouldn't be much of a problem to drive a road course.  I don't really watch every race, except for the 2 road races.

For the reason mentioned above, my favorite driver is Robby Gordon, because he can drive road courses excellently and he does very well on circuits too.  :P

I really think that the WRC(World Rally Championship)has the drivers with the most talent.  They have to drive on all types of surfaces, in all kinds of weather, and in any kind of configuration.  And the WRC uses cars that are literally, off the showroom floor.   ;)

If NASCAR would use cars off the showroom floor, not only would it solve all the issues with restrictor plates, it would be alot more interesting because the cars would be different, rather than just one shape.

Sadly, there isn't very much WRC coverage in the USA, and the only and best coverage there was, World Rally Radio, just got shutdown. :(
