Dismantling my Fleet

Postby RichieB16 » Sat Oct 18, 2003 7:34 pm

Well, as many of you know-at the age of 18 I had managed to assemble a fleet of 4 cars.  Well, today I finished picking my parts car (1974 El Camino) apart and had it hauled off to be crushed into one of those cubes.  So, then there was 3.

As of yesterday I managed to finally sell my 1969 Camaro rolling chasis.  I put it on ebay and the auction ended yesterday evening.  Check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2436546908&category=6161.  Anyway, that should be picked up in the nexyt 2 weeks.  I have spoken to the guy who won the auction and he is contacting a company to make arrangements to move the car on Monday.

So, that will leave me with the 2 cars that I wanted.  My 1969 Camaro 350, and my 1996 Camaro V6.   ;D

Nice Camaro there Richie.  What do you want to bet in a few years, Camaro is back as a FWD?

I have been reading into the 5th gen Camaro a little and what info Chevy has released is that it will be V8 powered and RWD-thank god.

Anyway, I was just glad to here they are bringing it back at all.

I just figured since they did it to the Monte, and since GM wants to be a Japanese car company anyway, that's the route they would head.  Where did you get the info at?  I'd kind of like to read that myself, even though I am a Mustang guy.  I mean, even though you guys were just a copy of the Mustang, I still respect you! :)

Sorry man, nothing beats a '65 K code Mustang Fastback for sheer beauty.

Here's an interesting article concerning the 5th gen Camaro: http://www.motortrend.com/future/spied/112_0109_futcamar/index2.html

Also, here is the extremely brief list of info that GM has leaked about it so far: http://chevysupersports.com/Camaro5thgen.htm

This could be a Mustang Killer on looks alone.  It's definitely derivitive of the 60's.  I thought the retro craze was over...  :)

Yeah, I think it looks cool.  Of course, these are just concepts-a design hasn't been approved yet.

To me, it looks like they took a 69 Camaro and made it a lot more areodynamic.
