VRS TacPac is finally here: Open Beta phase started !

Hi all,

Quick topic to inform you that the famous TacPac mod from VRS has finally entered its "Open Beta" phase, which means that it can be downloaded and tested by all the customers who have pre-ordered it.

I have installed mine already, but I really need to get familiar again with the Super Hornet itself first, because after a successful cold&dark start, I got a system overheat message a few seconds after takeoff, then my MFDs started blinking, and finally my HUD died. I had to jettison all of my weapons to perform an emergency landing on the Nimitz

I have made additionnal tests yesterday evening but I lacked a bit of time.

Now my Super Hornet flies as it should. I could also configure my weapons load, took some AGMs and a few GBUs, but didn't fire any of them yet. The usage of the avionics is quite complex, and as any military sim, it requires a big amount of time to understand how it works.

The 354 pages (or was it 453?....) of documentation will surely help... 

I also tried the FLIR TV, and this is just amazing. Can't wait to fire my first Maverick !  But first, I must RTFM, because I'm not even able to lock a target yet. 

By the way, I don't know what kind of technique VRS used to produce this FLIR picture on the MFDs, but it's fully compatible with the ENB Bloom  8-) The screen just flashes a little when the FLIR turns ON, then it works smoothly.
