REX2

Postby Flying Trucker » Sat Aug 04, 2012 11:59 am

Good afternoon all... :)

I have tried to find out how to upgrade my REX2 which I bought sometime around March/April.

I find the REX site a disaster as far as getting information from.

I bought REX2 through the Flight Sim Pilot Shop in Florida and do not even see it listed on their site now.

What I want to know is if REX Essential is an upgrade to REX2 and how/where do I get it.

I also understand the Upgrade is Free... :)
My kind of stuff... ;D

As my REX2 does not have sounds I tried the sound out in Essential and it was awesome.

So folks, any help would be most appreciated and please keep it simple... ;D

Reply to this thread with your REX order number and once verified you'll have access to the part of the form where you can download REX Essential.

And yes, REX Essential is a free upgrade to all REX2 customers.

Also, if you have OverDrive installed, you'll first have to completely uninstall REX2 before you can install REX Essential (it's well worth the hassle ;)).

Thanks FoxThree...much appreciated.

I don't think I have OverDrive Installed...Just Rex2 version BU 2.3.2010.1027 so not sure if I have to uninstall or not.

Will give that Link a try...thanks... ;)

If you have OverDrive installed it should say "REX + OverDrive Texture Pack" in the top left corner of the REX UI.

Either way, it's best to uninstall REX2 first; some users (including myself) have experience problems from upgrading instead of doing a fresh install.
