PMDG 737 not making full power on TO

Postby stevehookem » Sat Aug 08, 2009 9:24 pm

I have the PMDG 737 in FS9. It's not making full power on takeoff and I can't figure out why.

I know that the EGT can be limited in hot weather. I'm not using auto throttle on takeoff to see if I can develop full power. I'm only getting N1 of 96% and a EGT of 692 which is nowhere near the yellow arc.

When I switch to any other plane (level-d 767, CS 757 or default 737) it's fine. What have I missed here?

Maybe try to re-calibrate your joystick, because it could be that but can you get 100% with pressing F4 ?

I bet nothing's wrong.  96% N1 would be normal for a takeoff, in fact that's even a bit high for reduced power takeoffs and you wouldn't want the EGT near the yellow arc anyhow.

Remember you can select the takeoff thrust value via the FMC, there's a couple different choices for takeoff IIRC.
