I tried to purchase the md11. Get all the way paid, and it says I purchased the 747! I kow for a fact it said md11 all the way up until that point. So now im out 83 dollars because those di**sh**s cant get there downloads right. Im a little pissed off right now.......

Im contacting them as we speak but I have a feeling all I get is a "no refunds" reply.

Just thought I'd enlarge what seemed very tiny there, I thought it was rather strange.

I'd contact PMDG and ask if you can get them switched, if you haven't already downloaded the 747.

I for one think PMDG is another class of simming, called "Fozzer's enemies", cause it's all complex tubeliners.

Thats the thing, I had already downloaded it since they were the same price I didn't notice something was wrong till I opened the installer. I never activated it, but I already own it and have an activated copy. I have absolutely no use for something I already own.

AussyPilot, NitroPower, I suggest you two take a deep breath, and try and approach this from a MATURE point of view.

AussyPilot, it is THEIR product, THEY can charge whatever THEY want for THEIR HARD WORK. Do you know how hard it is to code all those systems in C++? Do you know how long the thing has been in development for? So you think they should charge, $39.95 AUD, and not make a single cent profit?

A flight simulator (real one, used to train airline pilots) can cost well over $30,000 US. You can fly PMDG's 747 or MD-11 for just $115 AUD.

NitroPower - really, stop coming in here and parading to everyone "oh, just pirate it, get back at them for charging $89 US for a plane."

Echoing An-225's comments, it is their product, designed for a very niche market, and, having a respected name in the FS addon industry, they know that people will buy it.
When you think about it, we really have it easy compared to many other hobbies out there, such as train modeling, R/C vehicles, etc.
I understand that it may be expensive to some (personally, its out of my price range), but, after developing a completely accurate aircraft for a program after multiple years of work, I would EXPECT it to be that much. The plane has a lot going for it in terms of accuracy, both inside and out, and PMDG, being in the business for the money, realizes that. If you can't afford it, sorry, but that's just how life is sometimes. I was disappointed also when I saw the expected prices, but there's nothing I can do about it, so I just move on.

I am also very surprised that you've lasted here as long as you have, NitroPower. After that little "pirating" stunt you pulled above, if I was the admin of this site, you would be gone, not to mention some other issues that I have witnessed.

Finally, I'll probably be jumped on for the content above, which echos that of An-225, and I imagine a few others here as well, but yes, you are certainly entitled to an opinion, but it's the attitude that we choose to address the issue in, which makes a difference.

I would just like to add:

There is nothing, and I really mean nothing that I hate more then pirates. Pirates despise me, they make us pay more, they make us suffer with DRM's and online activations and all that just because they are to shallow in their minds to realize work requires reward and in this case payment for created products.

Saying one pirate things to get back @ companies? WOW...why is who ever said this not banned?

We don't need cowards here do we? I know there are some great people here at SimV but things like this get under my skin.

Lets not allow scum (pirates are just that) on here.

I assume you meant me with that sentence. Call it immature call it whatever you want, but go lose 83 dollars of your own that you worked hard for, on something you already have because of a website screw up, and then we can talk. Either way it wont get solved, PMDG doesn't give a damn, they have my money.

I still have yet to hear from PMDG, and I was quite polite in the email I sent.

I will NOT be purchasing from them again, whether they make good stuff or not.

AussyPilot: The internet, and specifically Flightsim addons, is a free market, PMDG can charge whatever they want want for their products. Don't like it, tough.

ThatOnePerson, get an AvSim account and post on their customer forum before resolving to boycott them. Cover all the bases, never give up or give in.

I don't make a stable income, I'm still in school. I saved up alot to buy the game itself, and I think it is pretty stupid selling a plane for more then the game it runs in, costs itself. Its like buying a really cool tire for a car that costs more than the whole car by half as much more.

Now, don't get me wrong, PMDG is great. Really realistic and all that junk, but they wouldn't even be able to get all this money if the game wasn't even invented. And the 747 isn't a whole lot better than the default 747 by a whole lot. And yeah the PMDG 747 would take a whole lot of effort and time and brains, But don't you think it would be harder to make a WHOLE game where you had to code for EVERYTHING, not just a tiny fragment of the game.

I'm not saying that PMDG should lower there prices or whatever, I just WISH they would.

And, I wouldn't consider pirating or anything so stop saying my name next to nitro's. Its making me look like I would. AND I have bought Flytampa's St Maarten Complete and Kai Tak, so I do buy payware items so I know what its like. I think even they are overpriced, I don't know why I bought them, they got me at a moment of weakness because they looked so great.
