Strange iris F-15

This thing is slower than the acelleration f-18 (When I had acelleration). Does anyone have any thoughts about this? It barely breaks 1000mph. If anyone has a fix please tell me.

What kind of altitude are you flying it at? The specs of the F-15 state that at low altitude it will top out at around Mach1.2 or 900mph. However at high altitude it should get up to more like 650mph.

So if youre just cruising around at low level that may answer the query, but if your flying up high then this has been a pointless reply  ::)

Please read your post, you said that at low level it would go 900mph and at high level it would get up to 650mph, this sounds backwards to me.  You are saying that it would go faster at a higher level, but the number that you use for a higher level is lower than the low level number.

Just some thing that I noticed that you may want to clarify.

Yes quite right, good spot there!  ;D

What i meant to say was that "at high altitude it should get up to more like 1650". Bit of a typo there, sorry. Makes more sense now.

Ya I was flying between 5,000 and 10,000 when I decided to test its speed, so I guess I'll try flying it a little higher. But yes it does fly around 900mph at low altitude. Thanks guys.

At higher altitudes, indicated airspeed is lower, but true airspeed is higher.  Thin air at altitude means less wind resistance for the pitot tube or what ever ram air device an F-15 may have, lower indicated airspeed and higher ground speeds.  Hope this helps.
