FSX  USA Scenery add on's

Postby jimm57 » Thu Mar 20, 2008 7:29 pm

I'm very tempted to spring for the Ultimate Terrain X - USA scenery from Flight 1 Software after reading the review of the product in PC Pilot. Can anyone recommend it, or one they feel is better?

Thanks

Hi,

I use UTX USA, Canada & Europe along with GEX, FEX, FSGenesis & Scenerytech Landclass. (what more could you want ;) )

I would never remove them. The difference they all make is amazing.

UTX has a bit of a hit on FPS, but set it up correctly and defrag afterward you should be ok, depending on your PC setup, CPU graphics card etc..

Should probably be in the payware section, but oh well.....

I've also been considering getting FEX, along with UTX.

I've got GEX, and i've been getting great performance, but i've been hesitating about UTX with the money, and the potential performance hit

How about FEX NickN? Do you recommend getting that, or another environment addon instead?

Went ahead and got UTX:USA. I've only flown a half hour or so with it, and even though I found a noticeable glitch, i'm still impressed with how much of a difference it's made in FSX :D

There's now road traffic on the tarmac at Felt's Field, (KSFF) in Spokane, Wa.

I've got version 1.1, but I haen't been able to figure out how to check for newer version
