Problems with Alphasim F104 - no afterburner etc

Postby toni » Mon Dec 31, 2007 5:01 am

Hey, hope there is someone helping me.

I get the Alphasim F-104 bundle an intalled the FSX-part (Effect- and Simobjects-folder in it)

Now I can fly the jet but the effects are missing, theres no afterburner, no smoke on the wingtips an high G-maneuver.
There are some problems with the throttle too. Taking full power it is not possible to reduce power by throttle (only by F1.key).

Did I made some mistakes by wrong installing ore something else.

Very pleased for some useful help.

Thanks

Well, Alphasim have said that with SP2 (you have SP2 right? :-?) the F-104 and SR-71 don't work in FSX. Now before you go mad both of those are on their "short list" to be converted to full FSX SP2 standards IE. Self Shadowing, Bump Mapping, Virtual Cockpit Shadows (SP2 only), and bloom flash. So you won't have to wait long before it's fixed by Alphasim.  ;)
