Ultimate Terrain X - - -  DVDs  ?

Postby caveman16 » Sun Jul 29, 2007 3:37 pm

Hey Guys,  Here's wishing you all a nice day.

If you would,- - - I'm considering the purchase of  " Ultimate Terrain X,  made by  Flight 1 ".   The questions I have deals with the " downloading".   Do any of you know if this company would have this software later on DVDs ?   If not, has anyone had any problems either with the downloads or with the software itself that wasn't resolved by the company ?   Does anyone have any input that would be helpful to me about this software as I can't seem to get in touch with the company to " talk" to anyone.

Any input would be greatly appreciated as this software looks just like what I'd like for my VFR flying.    I already have  the " FS Genesis terrain mesh and land class "  for FSX.   Thought the package mentioned  above would "round-out" most of my scenery for the USA  mainland and Alaska.

Thanks again for your help,   caveman

You might get better answers if you post this on the Flight 1 forum.

Usually the DVD is available a few weeks after the download version is released. I don't have UTX but I do have UT for FS2004. The download is easy and usually perfect. Flight 1 uses a downloader for large programs that makes downloading fast and easy. It has stop/resume and checks to be sure the file is uncorrupted and if it does become corrupted the downloader can fix that or at least that was the case with UT for FS2004.

Of all the add on makers for MSFS I like Flight 1 best. They usually have the best products and they provide excellent support.

The  CD/DVD of UTX US shouild be releasd when the first patch is released which should be sometime soon.

Allen (the developer of UT)  offers  the best support in the buisness.

Thanks for the input [ Keep it simple ].  Sure like your sign in name  :)
I've just ordered and already received the mesh bundle from them.   I've also had to ask where the "mesh" was located in FSX and  "Justin " answered  right away .   Now THAT is really fast service.
Am very pleased with the help.    Have a good one, - - -caveman
