I'm in the netural area as with demos some people can just edit it, take for instance Gatwick pro, Heathrow pro or Bristol Xtreme, some people can just get the texture files from the demo and edit it so the file no longer has the demo boxes in them. If you want to know what I am on about just ask the 5Billion or so people who can't be bothered to pay for the paywere and use torrent sites.

Didn't FSX have a demo. I thought it was a little misleading when looking at how FSX would run on your machine. Any purchases made based on the demo could be looked at as a bait and switch on microsofts part. :-[

Well that was an entire game, not just an addon. A demo aircraft would give a pretty good idea as to what the final product is like.

Considering some payware aircraft costs as much as flight sim or more, I would like something of a demo, even if it included some silly box or parts missing or something that couldn't be changed.  Although it doesn't really matter to me anymore, it will be a long time before I buy anymore, have to spend my money on a house.

Got to go with a 'NO' one this one.  Screenies and Vids do a good enough job without resorting to a demo that can be hacked and pirated.  As mentioned, people can just edit textures to remove watermarks, but people will also over-ride registry keys for time-expiring demos.  There are a million ways to hack a demo.  If you want the thing go out and buy it, don't expect to borrow a plane for a few days and then forget about it (which is what happens to most payware anyway).
