Wondering

Postby BAW0343 » Thu Jun 22, 2006 10:11 pm

Hey, so this is my first post in the payware section. usually in my mind "if it aint free it aint worth it" But now that i have a steady income i am thinking of buying something. I have just pre-ordered FSX and i am also wondering if it is even worth buying fs9 payware. Im concidering Aircraft but i have the Abacus A380 (a gift so it was free for me) and i dont fly it often anymore so i dont want to waste money. Then i concidered AI and looked at FS live traffic, but thats a bit expensive and if i read correctly only a 6 month subscription. Ive also thought of addon textures but then all my screenshots would be limited to payware section unless i deactivate it, whats the use? lol   soooo what would you guys suggest?? Or should i wait for FSX and use my money to start a makeshift cockpit for myself.

it depends on which of the simulators you would use the most, or if you would use them both regularly.

if you would still use FS2004 when you have FSX then for sure, buy something for it, however, if you don't think you will use it as much, then wait, because it will only be a matter of time before companies start to make payware for FSX, therefore you can save your money and buy something for FSX when it come out.

Or you could even get a new joystick, yoke (whats the difference, stupid question i know...) for FSX to enhance the experience when you get it.

And if were going to give you pointers for what to get, you really need a certain field of interest, which would be a lot easier.

i hope my little lecture helps

cheers

i got the satiek X45 and i love it. So till it breaks i need no other joystick/yoke  ;D ;)

So i am going to save my money, if i get a new program i dont use the old. I am going to start buying some parts to make a small sort of cockpit untill FSX comes out then i'll go for payware  ;D  now its on to the "HomeBuild Cockpits" forum untill christmas  ;) :D

Hi BAW...!

It's a funny old do...
But in all my years of flight simming, (from FS '98 ), I have never wished to purchase a Payware aircraft of any sort, when all of my flying is done by looking out of the window in front of me, and the occasional glance at the panel in front of me to check on "things"...
...which all the default/free-bee 'planes do admirably ;)...!

My most highly recommended Payware Program is DEFINATELY "FS Navigator", which enhances your flight sims more than any thing else I can possibly think of...!!!

http://www.fsnavigator.com

...trust me...

Try it, you'll like it...;)...!

Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Hi Baw...!

Then you will appreciate the option of using "RADAR" in real-time, during on-line Multiplayer flights, where you can observe all the other players positions on your screen... ;D...!

Fantastic option...!
