what payware aircraft should i build...

General discussion about payware add-ons

The market approach trying to know what is mostly wished is the good one.

It will be difficult to be successful making a xxxth A320 or B737.

BUT must be completed by your own wish; "what plane doy YOU like more ammong those missing in the FS world.

An FS plane is not only a product but also an art piece, good results need that you enjoy doing the job. If your dreams are populated with warbirds, would you enjoy building an heavy airliner ?

However take a look on the Italian, British and French aviation history. There is a gold mine there from the smallest to the heavier remaining to be modeled for flight sim.

I take time to collect and post some picture and link them in a futher post.

But my current sign below show you already something I did not find yey for FS2004...

Actually, I would like a good 737-100/200...

Only seen a few freeware ones, and they aren't exactly "up to standards" ::)...

...but like Pegase said, its up to you, but what ever it is, put your heart and soul into it ;)

(Because If I am not satisfied with something that I spent money on, I get pissed; and you DO NOT want to see me mad)

hehe..theres some motivation ;D

As promised, here is a non-exhaustive list of some forgoten planes

Whatver you choose, here are some little things important for me in a plane

Good flight dynamic and good force feedback, I like to "feel" the aircraft.

realistic outside shapes, I fly often outside the aircraft in spot or tower view. don't forget the details on gears, flaps, spoilers. Night light effects.

Neat readable 2D panel. Some 2D "photorealistic" panels are very nice at first look but almost unpossible to use because overloaded with unreadable numbers.
All radio, navigation, auto pilot settings must be quick and easy, air and vertical speed, heading, altitude, flaps position. VSI must be redable in one instant look. No time trying to guess indications given by number made with 4 pixels...

In an other hand the virtual cockpit is the place where aethetic is the more importand.

Good set of sounds during normal flight and engine starts.

I haven't seen an A300 or A310 payware which is somewhat dissapointing...and although there are a few MD-80's around I feel like no one has gotten it right.

hey
Gmaxer, in my opinion, the starship was a very good choice, there is no decent starships out there in the flight Sim world. I definitely would buy it if I had a credit card or paypal. It might be abit hard to find accurate fuel burn on it and find how all the instruments work in real life. Have you ever created any other planes before?

A long time ago, TLUK made an F6F-3 Hellcat....to boost sales, they released a freeware model with no panel, no sounds, and no exterior animations...dunno if it had any effect whatsoever on sales, but it's been done...

Also, if you need help with Starship stuff, I know the perfect person to talk to....Dallas Kachan. He flew a Beech Starship around the world...
