go for the PSS concorde. they have a sale at the moment (won't last forever) so you'll get it for 10 pounds (that's like 19 dollars roughly). a bargain! it has a great vc as well.

If you get the PSS Concorde beware... it is not the easiest thing to operate..... Manual a Necesity lol.... My bounces all over the place but looks good, I cant get the Nav systems too work as well, its basically a paper weight for the time being...... Nobody has gotten to helping me with it, I swear I checked manual 30 times+ lol... But it is a wonderful package......  Cheers! Gunny

hmmm whys the blasted thing dance on runway when cold and dark..... and how do I get it to follow the blasted GPS oh, and wheres the Vertical speed setup in the AP? Cheers, Gunny

Gunny, do you know how to use an INS??  That is how Concordes were navigated. They never did update them to genuine FMS systems or GPS.  I think the real ones have Litton 92's.  I don't have PSS's Concorde but I do have the PM2 Concorde and it's configured to work with CIVA INS from simufly.  It isn't as advanced as a Litton but close enough to increase realism over flying it with default GPS.  I don't know if anyone has done a .cfg for the PSS Concorde yet or not to use CIVA but for anyone that has tinkered with panels it isn't hard to do.

There are about four switches to the left hand side of the cockpit all in a line just to the left of the speedometer. They should look like this:-
OFF-VFE
INS-FS
GPS-EXT
NAV-NAV

Right, now if you want to fly using the FS9 gps then create a flight plan just like you would do with any default FS9 plane and then jump into the concorde.
Now what I normally do is set the switches like this:
VFE
FS
GPS

VFE is the Virtual Flight Engineer
FS is for using Flight simulators GPS
and GPS is to follow the GPS route.

I've done that.... Now.... where do you engage the AP so it selects a Vertical climb, and wheres the Nav engage? Cheers Gunny



PS: I tried all those switches but couldnt find an engage on the AP for nav  ???

I don't have PSS's Concorde but I know the original FS Concorde AP did and the PM2 AP does have vertical and hold for the altitude.  PSS's would have to also because the Conrorde was certified for Cat 3 landings.  As far as NAV hold goes if you are navigating using INS well INS generally commands through heading hold.  If it's CIVA they have a switch panel to select which CDU couples to the AP Heading hold but it still uses heading hold.  I don't know how PSS's default set-up works though.  CIVA's switches emulate the actual INS NAV switches found on AP's of planes so equipped so it is correct.

right first things first.  Where the Autopilot panel section is there should be lots of buttons.  This is where you engage the autopilot by pressing the AP1 or AP2.  Right now to follow the GPS route just select the INS(Inertial Navigation System) button from the autopilot panel making sure you have the switches like I said in my previous post.
The Concorde doesn't have a vertical speed selecter in the autopilot like most other planes, what you have to do is find the icon on the panel which is called:
AP DATUM ADJUST
if you can't find this icon, click on:
VIEWS----->INSTRUMENT PANEL----->AP CONTROLLER
that should bring it up.
Right now you should see the AP DATUM CONTROLLER to the right centre of your panel.  There should be a lever on the right hand side that says NOSE UP and NOSE DOWN, just click which way you want the nose to go.  You can make small adjustments with the left mouse button and big adjustments with the right.  Beware when doing this make sure you keep an eye on the VSI.
