Where the heck are the Spits?

Postby Wing Nut » Mon Nov 08, 2004 10:27 pm

I had thought there were several excellent Spitfire packages coming out in October, but I have yet to see any of them!  This is driving me nuts...  ;D ::)

RealAir Simulations is coming out with one, and Aeroplane Heaven has... www.aeroplaneheaven.com for the latter.

Just checked and the release date has now been moved to the 10th Dec. This package might be out before FS10 at this rate, if there is a miracle!

Yeah, no kidding.  I finally found a package that I have absolutely no reservations about paying as much as I did for the sim, and I'll be old and blind before it gets out...    ::)

Mmm, Dabs are still saying 3rd Dec, Amazon 17 Sept(?!). Just Flights own site is non-commital. I have to say Just Flight are getting quite frustrating with this and the Herc package - both were originally due last month - they could end up losing some credibility...

I'd much prefer them to release it then patch it if necessary...

To be quite honest ......... if the Spit package isn't released in perfect condition I think you lot would rip it to shreads. I think the developers and Just Flight are doing a sensible thing by holding it back untill its perfect.
If it doesn't come up to spec afer all the delays ....... then I'll be joining in with the ridicule.

With the amount of slippage on the release date I hope it is up to scratch! ;D It's just not fair to keep Ozzy waiting all this time if you see my point, and in the past I've thought they've been pretty good at meeting their published release dates...

As anxious as I am, Eno is quite correct on this one.  If the y were to release it prematurely, people would be all over it, and their rep would suffer.  Anyone here remember was back to the days of the original Fly! flight sim?  It was so buggy and full of holes that they  eventually put so many patches out they had to release it as another title, Fly2K!  It hurt them bad.  Same thing with FS2000.  Remember what a mess THAT was?  Ugh...  No, I'd rather wait a few more days and get it right the first time.  ;)
