Another one of PSW's big mess-ups

Postby Mike Thurman » Thu Mar 25, 2004 9:04 am

Look at this, it figures that a 12-year-old runs PSW, i'm waiting till 18 to start my own DG.   :P :P :P ::) ::) ??? ???

Image

Ok, lets get a few things straight...

First of all, an He-162 umm, well, isn't a Be-200 :P

Second of all, He-162's do not have passenger doors or thrust reverseres, or spoilers.

Also, you don't charge 5$ for stuff, otherwise, they'll think it's low quality. ::) :P :-X

Perhaps I'm confused...

What does screwing up a HTML page have to do with the quality of the work they do in A/C design?

The webmaster obviously used an older entry as a template (common enough) and just forgot to update it.

btw, If you're going to wait until you're 18 to form a design group, please wait until then to criticize someone else's.

It's just a matter of being polite.

Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience, it will be fixed very shortly. However, Mr. Mike Thurman, for an 11-year old, the world is not perfect, get to know that because for the rest of your life, you'll have to live with it.

Well, first of all, get the facts straight Mr. Jamesy Boy, I'm 12, so there's another blunder of yours. You can use the excuse when you mess up that "the world is imperfect" cause it's your problem.

Also, that sounds kind of funny, you can't criticeize my age, when yours is the same :P

Sorry about this guy simviators,

#1) What does age have to do with this?

#2) Everyone makes mistakes once in awhile; let it slide, lest you be the one who is being made an example of next time.

Mike - James has always been quite reasonable in his postings.

Frankly, I am surprised that you would take a minor matter and blow it to such proportions.  Age has nothing to do with flightsim modelling - you either can, or can't do it.

A more reasonable approach would have been to presume that James knows his aircraft enough to know that a Heinkel Salamander is not a Beriev 200, and if anything, to have let him know - in a private e-mail or PM - that the website information needs correcting.

Unless the person reveals their age, I presume that a poster here is an adult, and as such, reflects adult behaviour - respect to others' postings, etc.  I give no concession to age when considering a posters opinions, and general behaviour.

I will be the first to admit that there are people whose postings I will nit pick - Hagar, Ozzy, Woody, Fozzer - when I'm in the mood to do so, just as I know there are many who are ready to pounce on one of my petty mistakes.

IcedFoxTrotter summed up the issue best. ...

Hello fellow Simviation pilots,

Thank you for your support. Mr. Mike Thurman is upset about our Team Policies so that is why he is disagreeing strongly against my errors, I have taken that in the consideration and the policies will be alternated a little. The website is being fixed now as I post.

I'm not taking sides but I think James handled this rather well.
I dont know why [well, i did read James' post] this stemmed off to be such an anti-PSW post but still, I do commend you on how you took it in your stride mate.

Wait until you get a real complain: hopefully you wont ever- but that'll test your coolness lol! Believe me, I know what i'm on about there. You can be as cool as cool but there'll always be one person who will try to kick you down.

.. and thats what the AK-47\74 were created for. Reeee-laxion.

Hello lads,

Thank you very much for your tips and suggestions, I have taken in mind and I will act based upon them.  ;D I am also very happy that I got the "Infallible Creator of the World" for the month,  ;).  I consider having a prejudice against children doing acts that adults can do a part of National Socialism, I will not mention it anymore because it is an evil and unjoyous sign. Anyways, I thank you again for the tippes !

12? I thought you had to be at least 13 to join Simv? Or did they fax in that permission slip?

I'm 13, but this is just sad. Last time I did something like this, I got my ass in a sling w/ the developers, AlphaSim. I accused them of piracy. They explained it. Done and over with. We're great friends now.

And anyway, what does it matter if he charges $5 for his merchandise? Not bad IMO. It's his stuff, so let him sell how he wants.

Don't criticize the developers too much. They just may end up leaving. :-[
