I am a commercial Pilot with over 12,000 hrs on dozens of different Aircraft, mainly Military transport and my own Cherokee Arrow. I was asked by a close friend to try the check rides, believe me, it's not technique, practise or style, just a combination of a fast computer and a really good graphics card. If you have those and you can fly the sim, then you can pass. It took 60 tries for me and for the life of me I couldn't understand why bitching Betty failed me. Then after upgrading my system it was 1st try. Now I fly FS9 sim and tried it, but haven't passed it yet. I come to the conclusion that you have to stretch your budget to do it, but ain't that the case in everything?
