making sound

Postby grouby » Wed May 03, 2006 11:07 pm

Well i hope i would be as polite as needed... my english isn't good as i wanted to so i hope i won't break forum rules etc... :-[

Here is my question:
I want to have informations about how to make a good engine sound for an aircraft in fs 2002.

I have 4 wav files of the real engine (from idle to full throttle), but when i've tried to put it into the sound.cfg (i've modified the C172's sound file) it sounds really strange: from full throttle to idle, in between it sounds like there was more then on engine... : i have 2 wav files played together!

(I'm afraind nobody understand me because of my poor english... )

maybe if i can mail the aircraft to somebody?

It isn't a real aircraft indeed! it's a Multiplex Easystar (my poor english... :-[) : it's a remote controlled aircraft. 1.10 meter wingspan, 750g empty weight. The model file i've made is x10 (11.1 meter, 750kg), made with af5, means first build for fs5! But well, i don't mind if it doesn't look that good, it's nearly flying like the real one but it sounds really bad ...

PS: if someone is intersested with an easystar for fs98 or Fs2002... my model (and .air file) has the wings cutted for about 15cm.

Well, i hope i'm not speaking chinese to english or american people...
still loving fs4!

Hi there, Grouby!

Welcome to Simviation! Don't worry about your English, I think I understand what your question is. I don't have any knowlage about designing aircraft for flightsim, but I think the aircraft design forum would be a better place to post this question.
