F16 radar gauge just a gimick????

I put the CFS2 Bf110G4R3 into FS2002 and put the F16 radar gauge, radar mode and radar range into it's panel. So I start FS2002, go to Ronald Reagen Airport in Washington DC and I follow and aircraft really closely, at less than 10 miles range! However I have no blips on my radar! Is this just another cool-looking but not so much happening gauge? Don't get me wrong it looks really really cool, but I need to know if I need to mod the planes airfile or do some kind of mod etc?

Have you installed FSUIPC ?  This is needed to make the F16 Radar gauge work.

I assure that the radar is more than just a cool looking
gauge.
