Auto-Piliot wing levler FS2002

Postby todd » Fri Feb 08, 2002 12:41 pm

Greetings!

My question to all is this:  When the auto-piliot is engaged on altitude hold only it makes it so that you are unable to make turns short of rotating the heading bug.  Is there a cure for this or am I missing something in front of my nose?

well, on some planes, the autopilot automaticly engage the leveler without you ordering it! so make sure that isn;t the mistake!! (you can see the light burning when auto leveler or yaw damper is active)

Well I know there is a line to add to the aircraft.cfg file to stop this from happening and I was wondering what that line or lines were

Thanks for the imput.  After going through each aircraft in fs2002 I find the problem to be with each one.  There is no way to turn off the wing leveling without completely disengageing the auto-piliot.  So... does anyone have a solution??  Or am I just missing something very simple??

To fix this problem... you must open each of the aircraft's .cfg file and paste the following lines under the [AUTOPILOT] section:

use_no_default_pitch=1
use_no_default_bank=1

[glb]These two lines will allow the ALT HOLD and WING LEVELER to work independent of each other...[/glb]

Some have a HOLD button, others require you set the altitude first and hit the ALT button after turning the AP on... still others are different, it depends on the autopilot you are using.
