Postby JackieAdkins » Sat Mar 05, 2005 2:05 pm

whats going on? im kinnda getting disapointed, eveytime i check Simviation for new planes its always FS2004, i guess no one really flys or designs stuff for us FS2002 folks anymore, i mean i know some stuff for FS2k4 will work for 02 but  sometime times ill dl a plane for fs2004 and it will have mising texture or some missing gauges and stuff like that, if anybody out there wants to design more stuf for 2002 please feel free ill DL it.

Have you had a good look through the various sections? There should be enough FS2002 addons to keep anyone happy for months.

If you are of a  'certain age' - or even if you're not but like flying big, fast airliners, then download Fireflash from the FS2002 pages. It was designed from the ground up in FS2002 and is optimised for it. Make sure you visit wi-i-i-de airfields, though!

There's nothing unusual about that. Since FS98 (in 1997) a new version of FS has been released every 2 years. Most developers will either update their older work or create new addons specifically for the latest version. For the first few months most addons will be compatible with both. The same thing happened when FS2002 was released & it will undoubtedly happen again with FS10.

You'll also find that a substantial number of FS2004 aircraft will work with FS2002 ......  :D

I've got FS 2002 and FS 2004, but for reasons too complicated to publish here, I still run FS 2002.... ;)...!

I get a bit disappointed sometimes to note that not much new "stuff" seems to be coming out for FS 2002, but with what's already in the FS 2002 Hangars in SimV, (and other well known sites), together with the fact that many of the FS 2004 aircraft seem to work OK in FS 2002, I'm a Happy Bunny...for a while... ;)... ;D...!

Cheers all...!

Paul....Long live FS 2002...LOL... ;D...!

Simviation.com; Avsim.com; Flightsim.com.  Some others I can't think of right now.

Scour these sites 'til you're blue in the face, and you'll come up with great aircraft of all kinds and eras.  You name it, it's out there thanks to all those who are kind enough to give their time building models for us simmers.  Ya just gotta keep lookin', that's all, and when you think you've looked at it all, start over again. I'm using FS02 and sometimes FS04, and my FS02 is primo with great stuff.  It took me a long time at the beginning to get familiar with everything.

And don't shy away from payware, .  RealAirSimulations, DSB Designs (hmmm, may not be the exact name), others have excellent aircraft and all at a reasonable price.

Keep on lookin!
