Strangely, the landing gear-up/down sound effect for one of my FS aircraft has stopped working.

You need to check the sound folder out for that aircraft.
Inside the sound folder you should find a sound.cfg file
It is this file that tells fs what sounds should be used for each sound. If you have updated this aircraft this folder or file may have been changed 8)

Thanks for the suggestion, I have not only checked the sound.cfg file to ensure the sound files are still in there, but also verified that the sounds still play on the media player (and file names remain as per originals).  Also tried copying the entire sound folders from numerous aircraft, while using the current aircraft.cfg file, and the gear still won't make noise.  Strangely enough, when re-loading the FSDS model using Abacus FS Editor, and using any other aircraft, all of their sounds do work, it's only when I make adjust the aircraft.cfg file that the problem starts.  Is there any place in there that may affect any sound files (nothing obvious found)?  Thanks again -  :)
