Serious visual problems-HELLLLLPPP

Postby coppershot » Sun Nov 14, 2004 12:47 pm

After starting up FS2002 and flying for about an hour, flight simulator begins to go on the blink. If I pan left, a piece of the image of my cockpit goes with the left pan view. It also accurs with all other views. I also see flashes of different unidentifiable images flash across the screen for the remainder of the flight. I can't make heads or tails of my altitude or velocity for ground speed. If anyone can tell me how to fix this problem and can sell me some memory chips and potato chips cause I am hungry right now from flying from Bremen to LAX.

Hello Coppershot ,

I had a problem , but not sure it is like yours .  I was experiencing flashes of changed scenery in front of my plane and mostly during takeoff .  I had been hearing a strange noise in my PC and sounded like a bad fan bearing to me .  It turned out to be lint and dust around the cooling fan on my Video Card  and caused interruption of cooling .  I went ahead and purchased a new video card which corrected the problem .  Incidentally , the new card only had a large heat sink so I had a good fan installed close to it .
