John's RTW website was a great source of inspiration, as I always enjoyed tuning in to see the work of a man who very much loved our hobby.

Noting from the papers that John was diabetic, I will be making a contribution to a charity that helps people with that disease.

Sad news indeed. John was always keen to help me and many others out; we have lost a keen enthusiast.

Many condolences to his family.

I will certainly follow "Chops" lead and make a contribution to the "Diabetes Foundation" in John's name.  Fabulous Idea!!!!   "Gone, but never to be Forgotten"

I just had a tought. I think we should dedicate the FS2002 forum in memory of John. This seemed to be his favorite place to hang out, so it only seems right.

'Tipster' as he'll be forever in my mind, was one good guy to have on this forum, always ready to help another guy out. I'll be missing his posts, his wits and his personality, as I am sure many other will.

My condolances to his loved ones.

Yeah, I think Tipster was the first person to post a reply to my 1st question here.  And had helped me with some pretty dumb questions, too.
 God Bless.

What sad news! All our thoughts go to his family. The term sky pilot will take on a new meaning now. I know we will all miss his advice, and, in some cases, his reassurance that it would all come together in the end.

God speed, John, you will not be foggotten

Someone mentioned donating to the diabetes cause.  What if someone in charge (Pete, or a mod...) were to take up donations for anyone who wishes to do so (completely voluntary of course) and make a donation in the name of Simviation, and Mr. Consterdine's friends?
Great edit, Bob.

This is very tragic. As I do not know Mr. Consterdine and what he does for the FS community and as a firm Catholic,I would like to post a very deep sincerity to Mr. Consterdine,I hope that he is in heaven with God,Mary and Jesus well and alive, looking upon us in his eyes, not a plane or any man-made machine. As I wish him well and rest peacefully.

                                                        May God Bless You,

I did not know Mr Consterdine, but to hear of the loss of one so giving to his community is truly a sad thing. I know what it is like to lose a great person like Mr Consterdine in a forum and community as tight knit as this one. My family and I extend our most heartfelt wishes to the family and everyone that feels the loss of this great man.

Just a thought for whomever it may concern, I am assuming that his name here was "tipster". If it was not i am sorry. Anyways is there anyway that name can be retired or made unuseable by future members. I think it is a respectful thing to retire the name.
