All propeller-driven aircraft, both in real life and in FS, has a tendency to yaw left upon takeoff. This is due to the fact that all propellers rotate clockwise as viewed from behind.
Not wishing to be pedantic or confuse things but this is not correct. The yaw will be in the opposite direction to the prop rotation. Many aircraft engines/props rotate anti-clockwise as viewed from the cockpit which would cause a yaw to the right. (For example: the DH Gipsy engines & Rolls-Royce Griffon) However, I think all the FS2002 default props yaw to the left.
This is not a problem if you have a joystick with a separate rudder function or yoke & pedals. Of course, it will depend on how you have the joystick sensitivity set up & will vary with different aircraft. It might be difficult to counteract if you fly with the keyboard only. I don't know how they manage but understand that many people do these days. If you use the keyboard only or a basic 3-axis joystick enable Auto-rudder from FS2002 Realism settings. You can then steer on the ground with the ailerons. Failing this, reduce the Realism settings to Easy to do away with the torque & prop effects completely.
