Howard 500 for FS2002 Released ...

Postby Milton » Sun Jul 11, 2004 4:01 pm

... to Simviation, Avsim, and Flightsim for those of you who still enjoy FS2002. :-)  Both VC and No-VC versions are available.

The retrofit was the toughest we've done, over 100 hours to downgrade and backout of FS2004 features and differences.

We hope you enjoy it. :-)

Downloaded it last night, and the "Auto installer" worked just fine.
The 2D cockpit is amazing with an array of switches, buttons and levers enough to keep any pilot  happy... ;D...!
The external and internal textures are lovely, and she's also a great plane for short-field take-offs and landings...!
Highly recommended for FS 2002 enthusiasts... 8)...!
Well done lads.....!

Paul.

P.S. Shift+Ctrl + C/V to open/close the engine cowls... ;)..!

Yeah, and i too like the Sound very much,  but not as much as the Virtual Cockpit, which is quite amazing.

Well done Milton, you and your team.

I downloaded it and it's beautiful.  Thank you! Also, the autoinstaller worked perfectly.

I found your website, but forgot to bookmark it and now I can't find it again.  Can you tell me the URL?

Thanks again.

Milton,

Thank you again for making the Howard available.  It is so good that I downloaded a Commander and a Dash 7, too.

I am very impressed that these are available as freeware.

That Howard 500 is the best twin-prop plane I've ever downloaded! It has excellent sounds, FDs, textures and panels. Thank goodness I have high speed internet, or I would have never downloaded it.

PS. the Dash 7 and Commander are great too.

I have uploaded the FS2002 Howard 500 Bare Metal textures and Cargo version tonight to Simviation and Avsim.

This adds a bare metal passenger version texture and the Cargo model and textures in bare metal.

Filename is: hw5c2.zip

You FS2002 guys thought I left you behind on this one, didn't you?

Thanks for all the nice comments.  We really appreciate that. :-)

The AC500 Aero Commander is the latest of that series and has over 100 improvements over the 520, 560, and 680.  THe VC is awesome.  There is also a "dirty" cargo version of the AC500 which received the Flightsim Developers Award.

Also, on the Howard, if you haven't discovered, the cargo door key sequence (shift+e, release then 2) opens the animated curtains in both versions and the cockpit door in the VC.

There is also a new Dash 7 coming: http://www.flightsimonline.com/Dash74

... but not before we release the Shrike: http://www.flightsimonline.com/Shrike

Have fun guys ;-)
