Help
I used a redundent guage program i downloaded from simviation utilities page and it deleted the icons from the standard jet panel, gps, atc, radio,etc,I know that the guages/icons were in a backup  part of the program
but they were deleted by mistake and to make matters worse my 2002 pro install cds have been damaged,anybody out there know where to obtain the icons and where they should be placed in the 2002 directory?many thanks Peter Webster

I had to sit and think about thta one fop a bit! Provided you haven't reformated your hard drive since this deletion, go and download www.handyrecovery.com. It can retrive deleted files! Then Make some CDRW backups.

Yeah you guessed it ! i have re-formatted the drive
after a virus attack caused by my Mcafee AV not updating,is it possible for someone to e-mail icons to my e-mail address and where to put them ? Thanks

I guess it would be ok, If you had payed for the opriginal copy. I'm no copyright expert!! I would be better from somone with a fast connection, as it would be quite a big e-mail. Not for my V.90 modem!! For any legal questions i would Private Message Felix/FFDS, as he is our longest standing mod.

I think you'll find that legally ....... you would be right up a certain creek without a paddle... and upturned  ;D

Your only alternative is to buy a cheap replacement.

What is illegal about making copies of Icons? the rest of flight sim works just fine! it cost me the best part of

Peter its a copywrite laws issue. It is illegal to distribute any part of the original package. Your best bet is to contact M$, they should be able to help you resolve the problem ;)
