Blue Screen Trouble

Postby Arrowmaster » Tue Feb 05, 2002 1:00 am

I am new to forums and to FS 2002. I do have and have used FS98 and FS 2000 without too much trouble. But, almost all of the extra aircraft I try to down load and run cause my computer to flash the bluescreen and die. I even had it happen once with the Cessna Floatplane. I am running Windows 98 since I had nothing but trouble with Windows 2000 and ME.  Any help appreciated.

Hi, what does the screen say when it goes blue??  You may be able to find the answer on the microsoft FAQ site.

hi
well, maybe your computer is wrong, not fs2002, cause i know many ppl who don't have problems with windows 2k or ME.......

and for the planes, if you download additional planes, make sure they are only fs2002 compatible...

Put XP on. Fixes loads of problems. But do not put the Plus pack on. Cos

A: Its crap.

B: it breaks your machine.

ME was (supposedly) the worst OS Microsoft came out with. That's why they released 2000. I run 98 and have no problems. Must be the mashine.

I am using ME and other than the occasional brain ****
It does not give me to many problems. But I do agree for a supposedly bug free OS I think M$ used a cheap bug spray ;D It can can certaintly drive one to drink.
I have thought about XP but not sure if the switch would be worth it. I have a pent III running at just under 1 ghz with 640 megs ram. I am not sure if XP will run good enough. Max ram is 768.
I also use a fx5200 video card at 128 meg ram ddr.
