It is real simple
Make a folder call it anything except FS2002 then just click and drag the folders over from FS2002. If you have a lot of addon scenery save your self a lot of trouble and move the scensry cfg file over to the backup folder then when you reinstall FS just drag the scenery cfg file back over to fs & overwrite This will save you from having too add all your scenery back. Do not forget to move the gauge; texture; sound; and aircraft folders. Unless you have not made any changes to these 8)

It's easier than that. If you have enough HD space rename the FS2002 root directory folder to any other name. Then insert the CD & select Install in the usual way. This will give you 2 separate installs of FS2002 that will run independently. It will save time copying all those files over. You can then carefully transfer your addons from the original install before deleting it if you wish.

thanks guys.....I just picked up FS2004,it was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up.$29 US plus a $10 mail in rebate.Anyway the reason I want to do a clean install is I seemed to have picked up a clitch with the 2-D cockpit. It seems to want to hang the game when switching from the 2-D to the VC and also hang when switching from spot view back to the 2-D cockpit. Any Ideas?   ........Air

No ideas on the problem but I suggest you forget it & install FS9. If that runs OK you won't be bothered with FS2002 for a while. ;)
